Star is a straight shot. North on Five Mile Rd from the shop to State St, then west on SH-44 through Eagle, past the Boise River crossing and into town where Star Rd meets the highway. The subdivisions south of SH-44 toward Chinden Blvd and north along Floating Feather Rd are where most of the calls come from; the acreage runs out toward Can-Ada Rd and up toward the foothills. A newer house on a private well with a dishwasher leaving an orange tint on the tub and film on every glass. The softener had run dry and the iron filter had never been serviced, and the heater had opened under the scale. We replaced it, cleaned the arms and sump, and pointed out the salt bin and the filter.
A garage refrigerator in a 2015 build, freezer contents soft after a week of inversion cold. No failed part; the thermostat was satisfied by the cold garage air. The technician confirmed the compressor and fans, explained why it happens, and set the box up to keep running through the winter.

On a private well, slow fill is usually the inlet screens and valve packed with calcium and iron, sometimes with a weak pressure tank behind it.
