Meridian is the shortest drive after our own street. Ustick Rd runs straight from Five Mile into the 83646, and Eagle Rd or Ten Mile Rd carry the truck into the 83642. Leave the shop, turn west on Ustick, and the city line is behind you before the second light. That is the whole trip to Bridgetower, Paramount and the newer streets off McMillan and Linder. For the south half we drop down Eagle Rd or Ten Mile Rd past The Village at Meridian and Ten Mile Crossing, then work the grid between Franklin Rd and Overland Rd where Tuscany and the older 1990s tracts sit. Lochsa Falls is a right turn off Chinden Blvd. Because Meridian is our densest area, we usually have two or three stops there on any given day, so a call from the 83646 in the morning often gets a window that same afternoon.
Idaho's fastest-growing city was built in phases, and the appliances age in phases too. A subdivision finished in 2008 sends us the same builder-package dishwasher and the same French-door refrigerator, right around year twelve. Meridian pumps its water from city wells and it runs hard to very hard, so scale is in every one of those failures: fill valves that drip, spray arms that plug, ice cubes that come out small and cloudy. Townhome pairs near The Village stack a washer under a dryer with a vent that runs the length of the unit, and dust from the construction that never stops out toward Ten Mile packs it fast. Landlords own a large share of these homes; we work with tenants at the door and owners by text.

A ten-year-old builder-package dishwasher in a two-story off Linder, not draining and smelling sour. The technician found the drain pump jammed with a shard of a broken glass and the check valve fouled with scale. Pump swapped from the truck, sump cleared, three rinse cycles run, and the owner shown where the softener salt level sat.
Warm French-door refrigerator, freezer still cold, a Tuesday morning call. Ice had bridged the evaporator solid because the defrost heater measured open. Heater replaced, coil thawed, the meter confirmed the thermistor was reading right, and the box was at temperature before the technician left the subdivision.
A gas dryer tumbling cold in a laundry room off McMillan. The igniter glowed bright, then went dark without a flame: a classic weak gas valve coil. Coils replaced, vent checked to the exterior hood and cleared of a fistful of gray dust, heat back within the hour.
A front-loader shaking hard enough to walk across the laundry-room tile in a house near Overland. Spider arm cracked and the rear bearing rumbling on a spin by hand. The owner got a written number for the repair and a plain note that the machine was twelve years old. She approved; the truck had the kit.

A warm refrigerator or freezer gets a same-day window Monday through Saturday. Dryers, washers, dishwashers, ranges and ice makers are booked same week, often the next day, with early and late windows for Micron and St. Luke's Meridian shifts.
Yes. From Paramount in the north to the Ten Mile Rd subdivisions in the south, the diagnostic is $99 and that amount is already inside the repair price you approve. Decline the repair and $99 is the whole bill. There is no distance surcharge anywhere in the 83642 or 83646, and an ordered part means a return visit with no second trip fee.
That is a large part of our Meridian work. The tenant meets the technician, the owner or property manager gets the written diagnosis and price by text, approves by reply, and receives the invoice and written warranty by email. Multiple units in one subdivision can share a route day. Nobody waits on a phone tree to get a refrigerator running.
In Meridian it is common. Entire streets received the same package in the same month, so the dishwashers, refrigerators and ranges hit their wear points together, usually between years eight and fourteen.
