The road to Kuna is simple: Five Mile to Overland or Franklin, over to Meridian Rd, then south through the farm fields past the I-84 interchange until the grain elevator and Indian Creek come into view. Twenty minutes on a normal day. Ten Mile Rd is the alternate when Meridian Rd backs up at the freeway. Once in town we cover the subdivisions north of Kuna Rd, the older blocks around downtown and the creek, and the acreage out toward Deer Flat Rd, Swan Falls Rd and the Kuna-Mora corridor. Kuna calls are grouped with Nampa and south Meridian so the technician makes one loop rather than three separate trips from the shop.
Two things define Kuna appliance work: age and water. Most of the housing went up after 2005, so the washers, dryers, refrigerators and dishwashers came in as builder packages and are now reaching the eight-to-twelve-year mark where fans, valves, pumps and igniters go together, street by street. Then the water. Inside city limits it comes from municipal wells and runs hard; outside them, private wells can be harder still, and a home without a working softener will show it in the dishwasher within a year. Add dust off the fields and the constant construction, which fills dryer vents and refrigerator coils, and cold winter nights that stop garage freezers on the acreage lots, and the pattern of Kuna calls is set.

A 2016 build north of Kuna Rd, dishwasher leaving grit and a white haze on everything. No softener in the house. The heating element was coated thick enough to flake, the lower spray arm nearly blind. Element replaced, arms cleaned, sump descaled, and the owner given the plain picture of what the well water will do next.
A chest freezer in an unheated shop building, found half thawed after a stretch of single-digit nights. The compressor was fine; the box had simply stopped calling for cold. The technician confirmed it on the meter, explained the cold-garage thermostat problem, and the owner moved it inside the house for the winter.
An electric dryer near the creek, running long and hot, then dead. Thermal fuse open, vent to the exterior packed solid with field dust and lint. Fuse replaced from truck stock, the vent cleared through to the outside hood, and airflow checked before the technician wrote the warranty.
A front-loader in a rental subdivision off Ten Mile, error code for slow drain. The pump held a bobby pin and two nickels. Tenant at the door, owner approved by text within minutes, pump cleared and tested, cycle run to the end. Invoice and written warranty sent to the owner by email.

Well water in and around Kuna runs hard to very hard. Without a softener, scale narrows ice-maker fill valves, coats dishwasher heating elements and stiffens washer inlet valves. The technician checks those points first on any water-using machine. If the softener has run out of salt or stopped regenerating, we tell you, because the repair will not last long if the water stays the same.
Monday through Saturday, yes. A warm refrigerator or freezer gets a same-day window, with the truck routed down Meridian Rd from West Boise.
