Eagle kitchens hold more built-in refrigeration than anywhere else we serve. Sub-Zero column and side-by-side units in the homes along the river in Two Rivers and Eagle Island, Thermador and Miele built-ins in the newer foothills houses, JennAir and KitchenAid panel-ready units in Legacy. These machines are worth repairing for decades, and their failures are specific: the condenser fan and coils in the top compartment of a Sub-Zero choke with dust and the unit runs warm, the door gaskets on a heavy panel door wear at the hinge side, and the dual-compressor models throw a fault when one system loses its charge. We carry the meter, the gauges and the experience to diagnose them properly rather than guess.
Then there is the second refrigerator. Nearly every Eagle garage on a larger lot has one, and a chest freezer beside it. In July the garage climbs past 100 and the spare works without rest; in December and January the inversion drops the garage toward freezing and the thermostat stops calling, so the freezer side slowly thaws. Add the dust off the foothills and the acreage that packs the condenser, and the garage unit fails on a predictable schedule. The trip from Five Mile and Ustick is twelve minutes up Eagle Rd, and a warm refrigerator anywhere in Eagle gets a same-day window.
On a Sub-Zero or Thermador the condenser sits on top behind a grille, and Eagle dust packs it until the compressor cannot shed heat. We clean the coil, meter the condenser fan and the compressor, and check the electronic control for stored faults before quoting.
The evaporator fan has failed, the defrost system has iced over the coil, or the damper is stuck. On dual-evaporator built-ins it can be one sealed system of the two. We pull the panel, check for ice, meter the fan and the defrost heater and thermostat.
Below about 40°F in the garage the thermostat thinks its job is done and the freezer thaws. We confirm nothing has failed, then tell you plainly whether your model accepts a garage heater kit that keeps it cycling through an Eagle January, and install it if it does.
The defrost drain is blocked and the pan overflowed, or the fill valve or line to the dispenser and ice maker is leaking. Eagle well water scales the valve body until it cracks. We find the source, clear the drain or replace the valve, and check the floor for damage.
The start relay or overload on the compressor is tripping. On a garage unit in summer it is often a compressor drawing too much current through a dirty condenser. We clean the coil first, meter the compressor windings and replace the relay from the truck.
Sub-Zero, Miele, Samsung and LG all store faults that name a sensor, a fan or a system. We read the code, meter the circuit it names and confirm the failure before writing a price, rather than replacing the board because the display said something.
The technician takes temperatures in both compartments, reads any stored faults, and listens for the compressor and both fans. On a built-in the top grille comes off first, because a packed condenser explains most warm Sub-Zeros in Eagle. Inside, the freezer back panel comes off to look for an iced coil, and the meter goes on the fans, the defrost heater and thermostat, the relay and the compressor windings. If the evidence points to a sealed system, gauges go on and we say whether it is worth repairing. Then one written price for the complete job. Fans, relays and defrost parts for the common brands are on the truck; built-in parts from Sub-Zero, Thermador and Miele sometimes take a day, and the return has no second trip fee.

Yes. Condenser cleaning, condenser and evaporator fans, door gaskets, defrost parts, controls and relays on Sub-Zero units are routine for us in Eagle. It is on the acreage lots in Eagle. Hard well water scales the fill valve and the filter housing, and a softener that has run out of salt makes it worse. We check pressure and flow, replace a scaled valve, and confirm the filter is the correct one and in date.
