Eagle laundry rooms are rarely in the garage. In the 1990s and 2000s homes around Eagle Island, Two Rivers and Banbury the washer sits upstairs near the bedrooms or in a dedicated room off the mudroom, with a pan underneath if the builder was careful. The machines are a step up too: Electrolux and LG front-loads, Speed Queen and Maytag top-loads on the acreage lots north of Floating Feather Rd, and a fair number of Miele pairs in the newer houses in Legacy and along the foothills. We reach all of it in about twelve minutes from Five Mile and Ustick, north on Eagle Rd to SH-44 and then east or west along Old State St.
The water is the same story as the rest of the valley, only more so on the acreage. Eagle city water is hard; the wells on the larger lots toward the foothills and out past Linder Rd are harder, and most of those homes run a softener. When the softener works, the washer’s inlet valve lasts. When the salt runs out or the resin ages, the valve screens scale over within a season and the fill slows. We ask about the softener on every Eagle washer call because it changes what we expect to find and how long the repair will hold.
The most urgent Eagle call. A split door boot, a cracked drain hose, or a pan drain that was never connected. We find the source with the machine running, replace the failed piece and confirm the pan and its drain actually work before we consider it finished.
Scale in the inlet valve screens from Eagle well water, low pressure from a softener that is bypassed or clogged, or a valve solenoid that has failed. We measure pressure at the laundry tap, then meter the valve and clean or replace it.
Front-loads from Electrolux, LG and Miele store a fault code that names the circuit. We read it, then meter the drain pump, the pressure sensor, the door lock or the motor control the code points to, rather than replacing the control board on a guess.
A slow drain, an unbalanced load sensor, a worn motor brush on some European front-loads, or a clutch and coupling on a top-load. Speed Queens rarely do this; when they do it is usually the belt or a lid switch, both stocked on the truck.
Large-capacity machines on an upstairs floor magnify any imbalance. It can be a failed shock absorber or suspension rod, a bad leveling job or a loose counterweight. We check all four feet with a level, then the suspension, and fix what has actually worn.
A drain pump jammed by a coin or an underwire, or a pump that has burned out. We clear the pump housing, meter the motor and replace the pump if needed. On an Eagle upstairs machine we also check the standpipe for a slow house drain.
An Eagle washer call starts with the fault log if the machine keeps one, and with water pressure at the laundry faucet if the house is on a well. Then the meter goes on the parts the symptom points to: pump windings, valve solenoids, door lock, pressure sensor, motor and its control. On the European front-loads we also check the motor brushes and the door boot fold, because both have a known life. We name the failed part in plain words and write one number for the complete repair. Pumps, valves, locks, belts and shocks for Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, Electrolux, Maytag and Speed Queen ride on the truck; Miele parts often need a day. Either way an ordered part comes back with no second trip fee.
Eagle is where we see the higher-end laundry brands most: Miele and Electrolux pairs in Legacy and the foothills homes, Speed Queen on the acreage, LG and Samsung in the subdivisions off Eagle Rd and Chinden Blvd, Whirlpool and Maytag in the older streets near Old State St. Some Eagle homes are second homes or rentals managed from elsewhere; the owner can approve the single written price by text and receive the invoice and written warranty by email while a house manager or tenant provides access. The pricing rule is the same up here as at the shop: the $99 diagnostic is inside the repair price you approve, $99 alone if you decline, and every figure in writing after the diagnosis.
Yes. Miele front-loads in Eagle’s newer homes are a regular repair: pumps, door locks, heater elements and inlet valves are the usual failures. Some Miele parts are ordered rather than stocked, and when that happens we return with the part and no second trip fee.
The leak source is repaired first, whether it is the boot, a hose or a pan drain. Then we confirm the pan under the machine has a working drain line, because many Eagle builders installed the pan and never connected it. We tell you plainly if the pan is decorative.

It changes what we check. Well water in Eagle runs very hard, so we measure pressure, ask about the softener and inspect the inlet valve screens for scale before anything else. A valve that scaled because the softener was empty will scale again unless the softener is fixed, and we say so.
Yes, and they are among the easiest machines to repair well. Belts, lid switches, pumps and the occasional transmission are the usual jobs. Eagle has more Speed Queens than most of the valley, and we keep the common parts on the truck for that reason.
